Southern California Edison (SCE) respects the privacy of all visitors to our website. We realize concerns about privacy and the secure transfer, storage, and use of personal information have increased with the growth of online services. What kind of information do we collect?
When you visit our website there are several kinds of information that we are likely to record:

SCE will not sell or trade your personal information to any third party, absent authorization by you. We only collect your personal data in order to provide you with better services.
Receipt of e-mails
E-mail gives SCE another convenient avenue to communicate with the public. We hope to periodically tell our customers about new rates, products, and services that would benefit them. You will receive e-mails from us or our authorized third-party fulfilling agent if you have signed up to receive notifications of certain news or events, or if you have requested information. SCE will not, however, send you e-mails if you have not specifically opted to receive these communications or do not wish to receive them. If you are a customer that has registered to access your account on our website and you would like to remove yourself from SCE’s e-mail list, you can do so by updating your profile information within My Account.
Children
SCE does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. We do not have any content on our site that would be considered harmful to children and certainly do not restrict children from visiting our site.
