Simulation of proposed substation facing southwest from Olsen Road towards the proposed site.

SCE’s electrical facilities serving Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and adjacent areas of unincorporated Ventura County are currently operating near their maximum capacity. To keep pace with growing demand, SCE is taking steps to ensure that its electrical facilities can continue to reliably serve our customers’ electricity usage. SCE is proposing construction of the Presidential Substation project, which will primarily consist of a new substation and a new 66 kilovolt subtransmission line route. The project would increase electrical capacity to the area, maintain system reliability and serve the area’s projected electrical demand.
