Transmission Projects - Projects By County

Red Bluff Substation Project

SCE is committed to delivering electricity from renewable sources to the region’s power grid in order to help meet California’s goals for a clean, green energy future. To meet those important goals, SCE is proposing to build the Red Bluff Substation Project near Desert Center in eastern Riverside County, California. The area has been identified by state and federal agencies to be rich in solar energy resources and several renewable generation projects are currently in development in the area, including First Solar’s Desert Sunlight Solar Farm Project. The Red Bluff Substation Project will provide the electric infrastructure needed to interconnect the Desert Sunlight Solar Farm and any future renewable generation projects in the area to the transmission grid.
