Daily DWR % Table
Since 2001, in response to the energy crisis, the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) has provided up to 30 percent of the energy requirements of SCE customers. DWR contracts for power have gradually expired over time, and effective in January 2012, the DWR will stop providing power to SCE customers. In addition, DWR will begin returning to customers throughout the state financial reserves associated with their power contracting.
Bundled service customers (meaning customers who receive electric power, transmission, distribution, billing, metering and related services from SCE) will begin receiving DWR energy credits on monthly statements. The DWR energy credits will be displayed within the “Details of Your New Charges” section of the SCE statement (i.e., energy bill). A message informing SCE customers of this change will also appear on statements, if applicable. In addition, the amount of the DWR energy credit will be shown on all applicable rate schedules.
The following Daily DWR % Tables will continue to be provided for reference, but the Weighted Average Daily DWR % Table will no longer be updated with percentage information after January 1, 2012.
